This Plaque is made from Eastern Red Cedar and comes with a choice of live edge or cutout around the emblem.   It is carved and then clear-coated for it to retain its beautiful color.  (Not to be left exposed to UV light such as sunlight as it degrades the clear coat and will cause discoloration of the wood, a natural process).

Eastern red cedar, scientifically known as Juniperus virginiana, is a native evergreen tree in eastern North America, characterized by its reddish-brown, fibrous bark, scale-like leaves, and aromatic wood, often used for fence posts and furniture.  

With its beautiful color it is great for plaques, signs, and other decorative creations.
